Burials in this upper, raised level of the burial ground began about 1800 and ended in 1934, 35 years after the meeting was laid down.

Records of the burials in the level below, beginning in the 1720's, have been lost.

Exeter Meeting has recently opened the burial ground to simple or "green" burials for those cared for by the meeting and their loved ones.
